Vivian Malloy is a long standing member of the Montgomery County Democratic Party.
|The Honorable Vivian Malloy is currently serving her second term as an elected official on the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC). She has been an active grassroots supporter and community organizer for the local Democratic Party since 1994. During the past 19 years Vivian has served in various leadership roles in civic, political, and religious organizations in Montgomery County. A graduate of The University of Maryland School of Nursing, she was commissioned as a military officer in the Army Nurse Corps. Vivian retired from her military career of 21 years at the rank of Major. Her last assignment was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center located in Washington, DC.|
As a professional nurse, Vivian utilized her clinical expertise and leadership skills to support her local community, faith-based programs, and political affiliations. As a community organizer she held the following positions: Chairman of Precinct Organization for MCDCC, both President and Vice President of District 14 Democratic Club, Executive Committee Member of the African American Health Program, and County Council District 2 Representative on the African American Democratic Club Executive Board. Vivian also served as a Community Organizer in 2008 and 2012 for the Obama for America (OFA) Presidential Campaigns.
Vivian resides in Olney, MD with her husband Wilbur Malloy. Wilbur is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Medical Service Corps. They have three adult sons who were educated in the Montgomery County public school system. She is employed in the health care insurance market place.
